For the fifth time, the Feminist Art Collective (FAC), organized in the traditional territory of Tkaranto (Toronto), presents a multi-day conference, this year called the Feminist Art Fest, showcasing the work of more than 70 multi-disciplinary, feminist identifying artists.
2020’s title theme is Narrative Healing; a call to action, one that demands radical care of ourselves, our communities and our nation-to-nation relationships.
FAC creates spaces that are celebratory, empowering, intellectually engaging, and provocative. FAC is committed to a trans-inclusive, anti-racist, and intersectional environment.

MC Justine Abigail Yu
Justine Abigail Yu is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Living Hyphen, an intimate journal that explores the experiences of hyphenated Canadians and examines what it means to be part of a diaspora. She and the publication have been featured on national and local media outlets including CTV National News, CBC Metro Morning, the Philippine Reporter, the National Inquirer, Radio-Canada International, CBC Ontario Morning, the Philippine Reporter, the National Inquirer, and CityTV’s Breakfast Television. She is also a freelance writer whose work has been featured in publications such as Intermission Magazine, Metro News Canada, Cambio & Co., African Business Journal, and Makeshift Magazine.
Justine Abigail is a fierce advocate for diversity and representation in Canada’s arts and literature scene. Her mission is to stir the conscience and spur social change.
Keynote Performance Jeneen Frei Njootli
Jeneen Frei Njootli, a 2018 Sobey Art Award finalist, joins the 2020 Feminist Art Fest with a keynote performance and Q&A presented by Native Women in the Arts (NWIA). Frei Njootli is the co-creator of the ReMatriate Collective and an avid examiner of the politics of First Nations art.

The night will commence with a short screening of Feminist Art Fest artists. MC’d by Justine Abigail Yu. Talkback with filmmakers to follow screening.

tours during registration. You'll find Ojo on the second floor in the Great Hall and Ada on the fourth floor.
Makers Market

In its third rendition, Made by Feminists is a free to attend makers market where you can peruse the wares of 10 feminist identifying makers. From prints and pins to jewellery and plush toys, there’s something for everyone.
