My piece highlights George Floyd's struggle to breathe in the midst of a virus that threatens to reduce our ability to breathe. I have connected George Floyd's death from racism and police brutality to the misogyny perpetrated against Turtle Island's Indigenous women.
I am an emerging writer. My writing has been featured in Toronto-based zines, and it is often informed by my experience of being a bisexual, brown, immigrant woman.
