RORY JADE GREY is a queer and trans multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. As a theatre artist, they have written (or co-written) and performed in Chimera (Rhubarb Festival & Queer Acts Theatre Festival), Almost But Not Quite Touching (Tough Toots Theatre Folks) and the 2015 iteration of the Kitchen Party Nervous Breakdown(The Cabaret Company). As a musician, Grey is a member of comedy rock duo Lez Gauches, a solo multi-instrumentalist performer (playing guitar, bass, drums and keyboard) and has written the scores for a handful of independent films. Grey is also a writer/journalist (Shameless, The Spill, Daily Xtra), a poet, a comedian and an activist. As a performer and creator, their work draws on their experience as a Buddies in Bad Times youth program alumnus, their training under Juno Award recognized drummers, Barry Romberg (winner – Jazz) and Larry Graves (nominee – World Music) and their Honours B.A. in Professional Writing (York University).
