Barbara Erochina

Barbara Erochina is a spoken word poet, storyteller and workshop facilitator. She has performed on stages across Canada and in the US, served as Poet in Residence, and studied at the Banff Centre for the Arts.  Her fascination with the transformational power of story lead her to co-create The Life Rescripted Academy, where cis and trans women are empowered to become narrators of their own lives through fun events, workshops and individual coaching. Barbara also coordinates communications at The League of Canadian Poets and teaches at Workman Arts. Her first show Wrestling God and Girls will be premiering in Toronto this spring and explores the intersection of evangelical Christianity and young queer sexual awakening. Barbara holds a BA in Creative Writing from York University and a certificate in psychotherapy from the Gestalt Institute of Toronto. You can follow her over on Instagram @barbaraerochina for pictures of cats, her cute partner and thoughts on living intentionally.
