Moynan King is a Toronto based writer, director, performer, curator, and academic. As an actor she has over 40 professional theatre and film credits. As a director and dramaturg she has worked with some of Canada’s most exciting artists including: Michael Greyeyes, Spy Dénommé Welch, Nathalie Claude, d’bi young, Keith Cole, and RM Vaughan. Her solo and collaborative performance pieces have been presented across Canada and the US. Her curating credits are many including co-founder and director of Hysteria: A Festival of Womenand, with the Hardworkin’ Homosexuals, founder and co-curator of Cheap Queers. Moynan is on the board of the Toronto Arts Council and is a PhD Candidate at York University. She is in the throes of writing a dissertation called: Queer Performance in the Post-Millennial Scramble, and she looks forward to touring to LA in October with Allyson Mitchell’s Killjoy’s Kastle to reprise her role as The Demented Women’s Studies Professor.
