Keira is a director, producer, actor, playwright and dramaturg. She currently serves as Associate Producer for the Forum and Laboratory at the Stratford Festival. She was Artistic Producer of the SummerWorks Festival, and founding Artistic Director of K’Now Theatre. She has been nominated for two Dora awards (Outstanding New Play – Little Dragon, Outstanding Direction – Pu-Erh) and has won numerous awards including the N.A.A.A.P Performing Arts Award and a Guthrie from the Stratford Festival. She has also played leading roles in theatres across the country, including the Stratford Festival, Alberta Theatre Projects, Persephone Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille and Nightwood Theatre. In addition to her work in theatre, Keira holds a second degree black belt in aikido and teaches in Stratford, where she lives with her husband and two kids – Emile (6) and Rosy (4). Upcoming, Keira will direct a workshop of a new play in New York with Urban Stages Theatre, and her production of The Aeneid will be part of the 2016 Stratford Season.
