Mariel Rosenbluth

'' Cuento Americano '' Puerto Rico, 2011Mariel Rosenblüth is a photographer and activist born in La Paz, Bolivia. Growing up in Montréal, her fascination for capturing and observing the world led her to a degree in Communications from Vanier College. Meshing poetry, images and social consciousness, she uses photography as a tool to engage youth in exercising critical thought towards normative world views, encouraging them to challenge the status quo. Combining her passion for photography and concern for societal issues, her narratives result in impactful presentations of an alternate scale. Mariel is a member of the Essencia Art Collective, where she participated in 2011. Her work has been produced in Bolivia, Sénégal and Montréal.
